Can't get enough of baby bunnies (this one is a week old) --- the furry feet, the wiggling nose and those teensy, tiny buck teeth!
The mom rabbit (or 'doe') pulls out her belly fur a day or two before she gives birth. This does two things: first, it makes a cozy nest for the babies that will be born without any fur, and second, it exposes her teats so that they will have an easier time finding her milk. Amazing how these creatures are so well 'programmed'!
