The Small Barn

At the small barn, one of the farm family will teach you about the area and give you a pony ride.  Instead of waiting in line for a ride, you will be able to explore the barn and hold baby animals with help from the farmers.

tour schedule

The Hayride

On the hayride, you will ride out to the pasture where the cows are grazing and get up close to them from your perch on the hay wagon.  You can ask one of the farmers all about the herd while the cows mill around on the ground.

Mrs. Farmer's Tour

With Mrs. Farmer you'll feed her flock of hens and roosters while you learn about eggs.  Next you can see the old cattle chute and head over to find out about the cow and calf.  Then there’s time in the big barn with lots of baby animals, and some great big ones.

Mr. Farmer's Tour

Mr. Farmer will shear a sheep for everyone to see and let you ask him questions about the wool, the sheep and the task.  Then he gives each student a bit of wool.  Next, he will show you how to milk a goat and teach you all about good food for goats and people.  Finally, you get to try milking the goat yourself!

WHAT TEACHERS SAY

"We had the best experience today. The children were engaged from start to finish and they really enjoyed being able to move and explore all your wonderful farm had to offer. The set up is so thoughtful and really honours the students’ needs to be active as they are learning."
